Twin Oaks Animal Hospital likes supporting our local community and education systems to provide opportunities to students that are looking to pursue a career in the veterinary field. If you are a student in a Healthcare or Animal Health Program looking to intern at our facility we are more than willing to help you furfill your internship requirements. To apply to be an intern at our hospital you must: 1) Email us a Coverletter explaining your goals for your internship, and why you would want to be an intern at our hospital, and 2) Email us a Resume. After we have received your email we will call or email you with a time to schedule your interview with Dr. Weinberg. You should treat this interview similar to a job interview and dress/act appropriately. During the interview Dr. Weinberg will want to discuss your goals, aspirations, and generally get to know you. Afterwards you will receive a tour of the hospital. As we are a small, single doctor practice – where our clients are our number one priority – we tend to only take on one high school, and one collage intern at a time – as long as they do not have conflicting schedules. So space is limited.

Volunteer Opportunities

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to take on volunteers. If you are looking to volunteer with animals we highly suggest looking into local shelters such as the Escondido Humane Society, Helen wood Animal Center, and Carlsbad Animal Shelter – all facilities are usually looking for volunteers, and after training, they will even allow volunteers to observe surgical procedures and treatments.
